In quantum mechanics, the observer necessarily plays an active role in dynamics of system, making it difficult to probe a system without disturbing it. Here, we leverage this apparent difficulty as tool for driving initially trivial into chiral phase. particular, show that by utilizing pattern repeated occupation measurements can produce edge transport fermions hopping on Lieb lattice. The procedure is similar spirit use periodic induce Floquet topological insulators, while also exhibiting novel phenomena due non-unitary nature measurements. We study detail dependence measurement frequency, showing Zeno limit be described classical stochastic dynamics, yielding protected transport. As frequency reduced, charge flow reduced and vanishes when no are done.
